Patchwork Pencil Cases

I will put some of my handmade products for sale in a handmade store later this month so I have been working very hard everyday after work, to cut fabrics and sew. These pencil cases are my new attempt.

Patchwork Zipper Pouch and Fabric Decorative Clothespins

This time I used my favourite green fabrics to make a small patchwork zipper pouch. This one is smaller, only 16.5cm x 11.5cm, so it is relatively easy to make. I think the beautiful zipper makes the pouch elegant.

I also made some fabric decorative clothespins.

Lovely Zipper Pouch

After having a sewing machine for over two years, I started to sew zipper last weekend. It's so fun to make zipper pouch. Just went to buy some more zippers and thinking to make a lot of pouches of different sizes. This one measures around 22.5cm x 16cm, with two pockets inside. Just listed in my little shop

Santa is Everywhere - Christmas Embroidery/ Applique Pattern

Finally I finished my Santa is Everywhere embroidery. These patterns are my original design, you can see Santa in a reindeer, in a snowman and in a Christmas tree. I guess making these as applique will be even more pretty and eye-catching. Hope I can set my mind to make applique before Christmas XD. You know there are just too many things that I wanna do but time is soooo limited.

Recently I've got hold of a Karel Capek fabric and 4 colours of Lecien Flower Sugar fabric.  They are gorgeous!!

Sneak Peek of My Christmas Embroidery

Sneak peek of my new Christmas embroidery pattern, namely "Santa is Everywhere". You will see Santa in a deer, in a christmas tree and in a snowman (not yet made). I wanted to make applique with these patterns as well.

I've been busy indulging myself in the trilogy of the Fifty Shades of Grey (hehehehe...I love Christian Grey!) so I do not have time to sew. I've just started the final book, hope I can finish it this coming weekend and can resume to sew afterwards.

Meanwhile, I get hold of a beautiful set of Atsuko Matsuyama 30's collection strawberry fabric. I've listed some in my etsy shop.

My Lunch Tote

My lunch tote (front).

I got this wooden pendant from the fabric market in Seoul. Can't find this in Hong Kong or Etsy.

Back of my lunch tote, inspired by Amy of nanacompany's tote bag

I used to pack lunch at work but not anymore! I think work life is already hard and I should treat myself a good meal at work everyday. Also, it's better to have fresh food than microwaving the food the night before.  I work at the headquarter of my organization and there are many different units on 10+ floors. Usually I have lunch with 5-6 girls from different units (admin, PR, publication, audit, fund-raising) and we always have fun chit-chatting and exchanging news. We love to talk about the hardship of our work, news, movie, book, TV show and love, etc. You know there are a lot to talk about among girls. ^^

When we go out for lunch, we need to bring our wallet, tissue paper, coin bag, cell phone and we really need a little bag to keep all these. I have been using a Hello Kitty tote bag I got from Japan as my lunch tote for nearly a year and always wanted to make myself a patchwork lunch tote. If you remember, I have made two lunch totes for colleagues, a tree applique and a hydrogen balloon. They bring a handmade lunch tote everyday while the maker is bringing a Hello Kitty one =.= . So finally I make myself a little tote bag this Easter. It's 25cm x 25cm and I think this is the perfect size for lunch tote.

Christmas Reindeer Applique/ Embroidery Pattern

I have been envisioning this applique/embroidery for some time. Finally drew the pattern last week and love it very much, though the candy cane makes my little people looks old, i think it's still super cute! Reindeer, christmas tree and candy cane all in one! I will make it as an christmas ornament.

I've just listed this pattern in my etsy shop.

Patchwork Bambi

Flu is really strong these days. I have been sick for 2 whole weeks T__T and still not fully recovered. Originally I go to Taipei and Mid-Taiwan with my hubby for 6 days but due to my serious flu, we cancelled the trip and stayed home for the whole holiday. I did nothing for 2 weeks, just sleep, day dreaming and watch tv.

I feel much better yesterday and think I should make something instead of just sitting there. So I made this patchwork bambi . I bought the pattern, a koala pattern actually, from a Japanese crafting site. I made some adjustments and transform it to a deer. I used my favourite red and pink fabric and is thinking to make some other different style, such as polka dots, multi-colour, red and green and just Green!

Mug Rug that Cheers Me Up Every Morning

I've made a similar mug rug some time ago and it is now being used as mouse pad by my husband =.=. I made this using the pink and red fabric I stocked in recently. Each square measures 6cm x 6cm so the total size of the mug rug is around 18cm x 18cm. I'm using it as a little placemat as well when I have cereal in the morning. The bright colours makes my morning bright!
