Shop Update: 2 Small patchwork tote bags

I like making small patchwork tote bag and I really like this 24cm x 24cm size. It is large enough to carry all necessary things such as wallet, tissue paper, cell phone and keys when you go out. These are great for little girls too.

These are listed in my little etsy shop.

All are made of Atsuko Matsuyama Fabrics

Pencil Case: around 19.5 cm x 10 cm / around 7.5" x 3.9"

Medium Sized Tote Bag : Around 35cm x 27.5cm / around 13.7" x 10.8"
Handle around 44cm / 17.3"

Zipper Pouch: Around 15.5cm x 13.5cm / around 6.1" x 5.3"

I applied to sell my handmade products in a very small handmade flea market last Saturday. The experience was just okay and I think I will not join flea market in the near future. It pushed me to make a lot of products in a short period of time so I could not enjoy the happiness of sewing actually.  Sewing slowing at my own pace and put them on my etsy shop is more suitable for me. ^^

Floral Hexagon Patchwork Small Tote Bag / Lunch Tote Bag

I always like making small tote bags. They are suitable for both lady and little girl.

I used some new Atsuko Matsuyama floral fabrics and other floral fabrics to make this hexagon patchwork. It turns out really pretty and girly. This bag measures around 24cm x 24cm (around 9.4" x 9.4") with handles of around 41cm (around  16"). Just listed in my etsy shop.

Patchwork Pencil Cases

I will put some of my handmade products for sale in a handmade store later this month so I have been working very hard everyday after work, to cut fabrics and sew. These pencil cases are my new attempt.

My Lunch Tote

My lunch tote (front).

I got this wooden pendant from the fabric market in Seoul. Can't find this in Hong Kong or Etsy.

Back of my lunch tote, inspired by Amy of nanacompany's tote bag.

I used to pack lunch at work but not anymore! I think work life is already hard and I should treat myself a good meal at work everyday. Also, it's better to have fresh food than microwaving the food the night before.  I work at the headquarter of my organization and there are many different units on 10+ floors. Usually I have lunch with 5-6 girls from different units (admin, PR, publication, audit, fund-raising) and we always have fun chit-chatting and exchanging news. We love to talk about the hardship of our work, news, movie, book, TV show and love, etc. You know there are a lot to talk about among girls. ^^

When we go out for lunch, we need to bring our wallet, tissue paper, coin bag, cell phone and we really need a little bag to keep all these. I have been using a Hello Kitty tote bag I got from Japan as my lunch tote for nearly a year and always wanted to make myself a patchwork lunch tote. If you remember, I have made two lunch totes for colleagues, a tree applique and a hydrogen balloon. They bring a handmade lunch tote everyday while the maker is bringing a Hello Kitty one =.= . So finally I make myself a little tote bag this Easter. It's 25cm x 25cm and I think this is the perfect size for lunch tote.

Patchwork Bambi

Flu is really strong these days. I have been sick for 2 whole weeks T__T and still not fully recovered. Originally I go to Taipei and Mid-Taiwan with my hubby for 6 days but due to my serious flu, we cancelled the trip and stayed home for the whole holiday. I did nothing for 2 weeks, just sleep, day dreaming and watch tv.

I feel much better yesterday and think I should make something instead of just sitting there. So I made this patchwork bambi . I bought the pattern, a koala pattern actually, from a Japanese crafting site. I made some adjustments and transform it to a deer. I used my favourite red and pink fabric and is thinking to make some other different style, such as polka dots, multi-colour, red and green and just Green!
